Hell is For Children part 6

Hide and Seek

--

5 hours later…

The house was packed. Stella couldn’t believe how many people were at her party. All her friends from school and family members were there, eating, drinking, talking and laughing with each other. Stella couldn’t help but keep a close eye on her little brother, frightened by what she heard Glenda saying five hours before.

‘Don’t worry Glen will be there too…’

“Stella? Dear, are you alright?”

Stella turned around , taking her eyes off her brother, and saw her grandmother, Sylvia, staring at her with a concerned look on her face. “I-I’m fine grandma,” Stella answered nervously, turning her attention back over towards Glen, who was standing next to their father, who was talking to Stella, Glen and Glenda‘s godparents, Eddie and Heather. Poor Glen looked depressed as hell, though. He looked so lonely…

Sylvia put a hand on Stella’s shoulder. “Dear, what’s the matter?”

Stella sighed and shook her head, looking away from Glen. She really needed to stop worrying. There was nothing to worry about. “Nothing, nothing. It’s fine.”

“Well,” Sylvia sighed and looked away, “Okay.” Sylvia walked away and left Stella standing in the middle of the crowd of people, watching her brother.

Stella jumped as someone tapped her on the shoulder. She turned around and saw Lucy’s adoptive sister, Vanessa. She had light blonde hair, light blue eyes and a heart shaped face. She was only two years younger than both Stella and Lucy. “Stella? What are you doing?”

Stella only kept her eyes focused on Glen. “Nothing.”

“Are you sure?” Vanessa asked softly, “You keep looking at Glen.”

“I’M FINE,” Stella snapped, not taking her eyes off Glen.

“Whatever,” Vanessa mumbled, walking away from Stella.

Stella looked over and watched Vanessa walking away, her heart filling with guilt. She hated to be so, blunt about it, but she was worried about Glen. Something inside her told her to not look away from Glen. Something inside her told hr that something bad was going to happen, but she didn’t know what, and she didn’t know where. All she knew was that her brother was in trouble… but from what?

That’s when Glenda realized… “Where’s Glenda?” She whispered to herself, her dark blue eyes scanning the room for her demonic sister.

--

Glenda walked over towards her twin brother. “Oh, Gleeeeeen?” She sang, tapping Glen on the shoulder.

Glen flinched and slowly looked up at his twin sister. “Oh, Hi Glenda…” Glen gulped, “What do you want?”

Glenda smiled innocently. “I want to play hide and seek. Wanna play?”

Glen hesitated. Glenda looked like she was telling the truth. “O-okay…” Glen stuttered nervously, “I’ll play hide and seek with you.”

“H-hey dad?”

Chucky looked down at Glen and ruffled his hair. “Yeah, son?”

“C-can Glenda and I go outside to play hide and seek?”

Chucky felt his eyes widen. Glen and Glenda, playing together? That was odd. “Um… Sure.” Chucky turned to Eddie and Heather. “Could you guys  watch Glen and Glenda? They’re going outside to play.”

Eddie smiled. “Sure, we can watch them for you.”

Heather gently took her godson by the hand. “Come on Glen, let’s go.”

Glen sighed in relief. He felt a lot safer now that his godparents were going to be watching over him. He didn’t trust Glenda…

Glen turned and saw Glenda following right behind as the four of them walked outside.

Glen could see the evil gleam in Glenda’s icy, blue eyes..

--

Stella looked over and saw something that nearly made her scream.

Glen wasn’t there.

Stella walked over to her father, where Glen had been last seen. “Dad!”

Chucky looked up at her, startled. “Stella, what happened? What’s wrong?”

Stella felt herself breathing hard. “DAD,” Stella breathed, “WHERE IS GLEN?”

“Oh,” Chucky let out a breath. He thought Stella got hurt or something. “Glen is outside.”

Stella felt a chill go down her spine. “With who?”

Chucky hesitated. He knew Stella wouldn’t even like the answer she was about to receive. “With Glenda…”

Stella froze. Oh shit, she thought. “Who’s watching them?”

“Eddie and Heather,” Chucky answered as softly as he could.

Stella sighed. At least Glen was safe…

Chucky put his hand on Stella’s cheek. “Don’t worry, Stella. Everything’s fine.”

--

“Okay, Glen, here’s how the game goes,” Glenda cleared her throat and continued, “You hide, behind the house, and I count, and try to find you.”

Glen turned pale. “B-but isn’t that called hide and seek?”

Glenda glared at Glen, making his eyes widen in fear. “It’s called, ‘Glen shut the fuck up or I’ll hurt you,’ got it?!”

Glen slowly nodded.

Glenda flashed him another innocent smile to hide her true insanity.

The insanity she was BORN with.

Glenda sat down and looked over at the porch. Seeing that their godparents were talking, Glenda made her move. She closed her eyes and hissed, “Glen, go hide behind the house. NOW.”

Though Glenda couldn’t see Glen nod, she heard him running as fast as he could to make sure he didn’t make Glenda angry.

Glenda opened her eyes and saw… a shadow of a man, walking slowly near where Glen was hiding.

Glenda got up and ran over towards Eddie and Heather… as a distraction.

“Hey guys,” Glenda said, as sweetly as she could, putting on her best nice girl act in front of her god parents, who only looked at her oddly.

“Hi Glenda,” Heather answered, gently patting Glenda on the head. Glenda was smiling in the most innocent way, both Eddie and Heather had to figure out…

Why was Glenda so happy all of a sudden?

Glenda sighed and sat on a bench in front of Eddie and Heather, only looked at each other before looking at Glenda.

“Look,” Glenda said quietly, “I’m sorry for always acting so angry all the time.” Glenda sniffled and placed her head in her hands. Eddie and Heather only exchanged glances.

“I’m sorry!” Glenda started to sob as Heather and Eddie embraced her.

“It’s okay Glenda…” Heather gently rubbed Glenda’s back, trying to calm her sobbing.

Eddie didn’t say a word. He only hugged Glenda thinking that Glenda was up to something.

Glenda sniffled. “T-thank you…” She saw out of the corner of her eye, the man, carrying a little boy’s unconscious body.

It was Glen.

The man placed Glen in the front seat of his car, before turning towards Glenda. He winked at her and smiled before he got into his car and sped off, with Glen inside.

Glenda only winked back, before she finally stopped crying.

Her job was done.

--

Stella walked outside and onto the porch, only to see Eddie and Heather, hugging Glenda tightly.

“Where’s Glen?” Stella asked, looking around the front lawn, fear was beginning to take over.

Eddie slowly looked over at Stella. “Oh shit,” He whispered.

He and Heather let go of Glenda and began to call out Glen’s name.

Stella only stared in disbelief. “Not Glen,” she pleaded, “NOT GLEN!”

After minuets of searching, and calling, Eddie, Heather and Stella still couldn’t find Glen.

Heather ran over to her eldest godchild and placed her hands on her shoulders. “Stella, Eddie and I are going to go get your mother and father. You just keep looking for Glen, okay?”

Stella started to hyperventilate as she nodded and watched her godparents run into the home.

“GLEN!” Stella screamed, “GLEN! PLEASE! WHERE ARE YOU?!”

Stella collapsed onto the ground in fear. Stella had been right all along.

Glen was gone, and Stella could do nothing but worry for her little brother’s whereabouts.

Awesome and Intense! I also saw the other user's comment on Fanfiction.net. :rolls: If the author doesn't like the story, she doesn't have to read it and can keep her opinion to herself. It's common sense. You can block her, if you need to Elena.

You also did an amazing job on both of Heather and eddie's charcters. =)

I read that user's comment on FF.Net. She really needs to fuck off. :pissed: You should continue this story, and block her. She needs to take that thorn out her ass and leave you alone... you're a great author, she's just jealous.

Glen: But, isn't violence bad?
Chucky: No, son. "Violins." Violins are bad. That screeching music is gonna ruin the goddamn country.

:iconshoppergurl:
Don't let the other author hurt your feelings, hon. Your stories are probably worth gold, compared to her own three stories. And, like I said, you can always delete her comment and block her. Until then, maybe she will learn to move her head out of her ass and act nice.

Ok. :cling: I guess. :sniff: Besides, the story is almost done anyways.
